Starry Night

We have been looking at impressionist artists and their artworks this term. Today we examined "Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh.
2F made some excellent observations about this famous painting and then we had a go at our interpretation of it!
We started drawing in lead pencil and then everyone chose if they wanted to use textas, oil pastles or pencils to add colour and detail.

Library Awards Term 2

Week 9 News

As has been the standard every week, this weeks News presentations were outstanding. Thank you to Aaron, Mia, Harry and Amelia K for some fantastic creations!

Explanations

In our modelled and guided writing lessons we have been learning about "Explanations". Here are some websites we have been using to help us learn about this tricky text type:

Big Babies
Building up Paragraphs

My Place

This term in HSIE we have been learning all about "The Way We Were". We explored this interesting website today to look at the way children in Australia have lived since 1788.

Click here if you would like to explore the My Place website. You could look at the year you were born, or the year your parents were born.

Please comment on any interesting discoveries you make!
