- Complete a word work activity of your choice with some of the words you are working on this week.
- Write a recount about something you have done. Make sure you include the orientation, sequence of events and your opinion.
- When you are reading a good fit book, write down some of the interesting words you read and look them up in a dictionary. If you don't have a dictionary at home, use an online dictionary.
- Find an interesting way to practice your times tables - maybe create a dance, rap, or short video! Look at mathletics.com 'Times Table Toons' for a fun way to sing along!
- Login into Mathletics using your Mathletics username and password and play Mathletics Live. See if you can challenge yourself to a higher level!
- Choose a large word, such as 'Refridgerator' and see how many small words you can find inside that word - for example fridge, rate, reef. Try again a week later and see if you can find even more!
- Curl up with a good book - remember voracious readers become great readers!
- Cooking is actually science! Help Mum or Dad cook a meal and notice what happens to the shape, taste and texture of the food you are cooking. Does the colour change? Why do you think this happens?
