Operation Christmas Child

Today 2F filled up some boxes for Operation Christmas Child. It was very exciting to see all the specially selected gifts packed carefully and lovingly by 2F. We know that these presents are going to bless some kids in another country and it was wonderful to be a part of it.
Thank you to all the parents and kids for supporting our school in this endeavour!! We appreciate your support and generosity.

Proud Teacher

I would like to take a moment to boast about my fantastic class!
This morning we selected new library books and they were so well behaved. After they chose a book they lay on the rainbow mat reading excitedly. I am so proud to have enthusiastic readers in my class!
Later in the morning we learnt how to add adjectives and adverbs to a boring sentence to make it an interesting sentence. Everyone took part in this eagerly and worked hard to become better writers.
I am super proud of you 2F!!!

Mega Maths

We have been learning about 3D shapes this week in Maths. Yesterday we had a fantastic hands on lesson with 1/2DW investigating 3D shapes and especially focusing on drawing 3D shapes.

Reading outside

We made the most of the beautiful weather today and did part of our Daily 5 activities outside. 2F did a great job concentrating on Read to Self and Read to Someone this morning, great work everyone!!

Clouds

For Science this week we are learning about clouds. We enjoyed learning the names of 4 different types of clouds and going outside on a "cloud hunt". Can you remember the different types of clouds 2F?

STACKS of Fun

I had a wonderful time with my STACKS groups today. We ate jelly in the lovely sunshine and played a few fun ball games. We talked about how God listens to us and answers prayer and then we prayed for the prayer requests of our group.
